Baby turkeys are called poults; they are remarkably friendly creatures that like flapping their big wings and jumping about. They also make an adorable soft warbling noise when they are being fed in the morning. They eat much less than our broiler chickens and are ideally harvested when they are between 15 and 25 pounds. Michaele sells them for $5.50/pound just like the chickens.
This one was curious about my camera.
They look a lot like Pterodactyls at this age.
